Welcome to Chester@Hancock! 

Here are some important details before you arrive: 

LOCATION: All performances will take place at Hancock Shaker Village. The address is 34 Lebanon Mountain Rd., Hancock, MA.

PARKING/GETTING TO THE TENT: General parking will be in the field labelled “Overflow Parking” to your left as you enter the property, and handicap accessible parking is located closer to the Visitor’s Center. You can find the parking map here.

After parking, make your way to the Visitor’s Center. Follow the path marked in yellow on the map; you should pass Bimi’s Café on your left and signage for restrooms on your right. Continue straight into the covered area, then go in the door on your right labelled “Tickets.” You will be directed through this building to the performance tent.

WEATHER: In the event severe weather in Pittsfield forces us to cancel or delay a performance, we will reach out to you via email, and we will leave a message on our outgoing voicemail. We will also post a notice on our website in the News section. In most cases, the show will go on if rain is in the forecast. If thunder and lightning are forecast, we will make the appropriate decision as soon as we are able for the safety of all. 

FACE COVERINGS: Masks are optional for vaccinated audience members. Any unvaccinated audience members should wear masks.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE: While you cannot bring food or drink into Hancock Shaker Village (with the exception of water bottles), Bimi’s Café is open daily for lunch, and will be open until 7:30 pm on evenings when there is an evening performance. We also have information about other local restaurants here.

If you would like, you may bring your own water bottle into the performance tent.

TALKBACKS: If you are attending a Thursday matinee (3:00pm) performance, there will be a talkback following the show.  

ENJOY THE VILLAGE: We hope you enjoy the play and we invite you to spend time in the Village too.  The Village is open daily from 11-4, with summer hours of 11-5 starting June 28th. Simply present your ticket confirmation at the HSV ticket desk for a $5 discount off the daily admission price (either day of, or day following). For more information about the Village, visit their website. As Town & Country said, “Hancock Shaker Village is a must-visit destination.”
