A Beautiful Night in the Berkshires

On November 11, much of the Berkshire theatre community gathered in Pittsfield to celebrate another remarkable season of theatre, to mingle with our fellow theatre artists and administrators, and to celebrate the artists nominated for awards during the Fourth Annual Berkshire Theatre Critics Awards.

Chester Theatre Company recived a total of six nominations this season, and Associate Artistic Director Tara Franklin brought home a “Berkie” for Outstanding Solo Performance for On the Exhale. She did it in great style, too, wearing a pair of boots that fellow nominee in the same category, Jayne Atkinson, had given her!

Four of our six nominees, Keira Naughton (Director, Curve of Departure), Tara Franklin, James Barry (Best Supporting Actor, The Night Alive), and Luke Hofmaier (Best Actor, Now Circa Then) were able to attend. Lilli Hokama (Best Actress, Now Circa Then) is in Washington, DC perforning in Amadeus at The Folger, and Matthew Adelson (Best Lighting Design, Curve of Departure), was in tech for a show. Cheers to all of the nominees and winners. We are so fortunate to be surrounded by such incredible talent!
